Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) in Xochimilco (Special Event October 31th 2004 and/or November 1st.) | ||||||||||||

Enkidu is pleased to invite you to spend two very special nights with us: Enkidu's annual tour to the Día de Muertos [Day of the Dead] in Xochimilco, a fascinating ancient community in the southern part of Mexico City. You will be invited to participate in the actual event, not simply as an observer, but as an integrated part of it all, and celebrate this enchanting and enchanted night with the native people of Xochimilco. We look forward to share this experience with you with you! Our guide at this particular tour will be Agustín Villalpando Sanchez, Enkidu Magazine's news editor and himself a native of Xochimilco. He will share childhood memories with you and explain some of the deeper meanings attached to this ritual in local culture. |
