Full day city tour: Our service for the day includes traditional Mexican breakfast in beautiful Xochimilco – “The Land where Flowers Grow” in the Nahuatl language-. We will visit its Mercado de flores y frutas (Fruits and Flowers Market), its XVI Century Main Church, constructed as a fortress, and take a trip in the local "canoas". Xochimilco is called the Mexican Venice because of its famous water-channels dating from pre-colonial times. The visit to Xochimilco also includes a visit to a local pulquería where you can taste the ancient refreshing Mexican beverage pulque, which has been produced in the area since before the Aztecs.

Downtown Mexico City is a fascinating mixture of adventure, folklore, culture and fun. We will visit Museo del Templo Mayor, la Catedral Metropolitana, and Palacio Nacional, where the Benito Juarez Museum is located. Depending on the time and your interests this last place can be changed to the Museo José Luis Cuevas and its erotic art gallery. We will have lunch at the bright and pleasant gay restaurant called "El Generalito".  

Another option, which may be selected as an alternative to downtown is a visit to the enormous National Museum of Anthropology A visit here will in any case take several hours. It is a world class museum and one of the most important in the Americas. Anyone visiting Mexico City, should really try to schedule a visit here.  

The tour will end with a brief visit to Zona Rosa, where most GLBT places are located. A cup of coffee in one of the local Vips-cafes will be included. The Vips are classical cruising places in Mexico City, although not officially gay localities.
