About Enkidu 

Enkidu is a non profit organization dedicated to the task of Opening Eyes through information, debate and dialogue. Enkidu Magazine is entirely produced by a small team of dedicated contributors and volunteers sharing a vision, an ambition, and the idea that knowledge and information should be available and accessible to all, regardless of geography and socio-cultural conditions. All income generated with our services for travellers and language and culture courses etc. is invested in our cultural projects, outreach activities and community work.

The income generated through our activities will this year finance Enkidu Magazine’s international conference on AIDS and CULTURE in cooperation with CENSIDA, which will bring together scientists, activists and politicians from all over the world to debate, dialogue and lively exchange. By participating in an Enkidu program this spring and summer, you will contribute to enable participants without funds but with an important message to the world to attend and let their voice be heard. If you cannot travel with us this year but still think that our efforts building bridges and breaking silences are worthwhile and that our voice should continue to be heard, inform, entertain and educate, you may also consider giving a donation.

As soon as we have received a confirmation of your donation, we will send you a receipt. Depending on the legislation in the country where you are located regarding donations to foreign charitable organisations, donations to Enkidu may be eligible for tax exemption or similar. If you need further documentation, for instance for tax exempt purposes, please contact us as soon as possible, indicating the kind of documentation you will need for your local tax authority or other purposes. 

Our Mission - Eye-Opening Travel

Our mission is to give you an eye opening stay in Mexico. We want to give you an opportunity to experience Mexico from behind and within during your stay.  Our tours, vacations and cultural programs for visitors (for instance our language immersion courses) are designed for individuals and groups with a desire to get to know something about Mexico, its cultures and its history from the inside. 

We do NOT offer the usual city tours and packages involving stress and fixed hectic schedules. An Enkidu tour, exploration or adventure has little in common with conventional sightseeing or tourist bus tours. We do not make you run from attraction to attraction all day, in and out of the bus. We want to let you enjoy your vacation, and to give you time to reflect, enjoy, smell and taste
